How we collect, use, and protect data across the SACRP website and Discord bot.

Last updated: June 11, 2026

1. Overview

San Andreas County Roleplay (“SACRP,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates this website and a Discord bot that powers features for our community. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. By using our website or interacting with our Discord bot, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information we collect

Discord bot data. To provide persistent features, our bot stores the following in a PostgreSQL database:

  • Discord identifiers — user, role, channel, and guild (server) IDs.
  • Bot configuration — server settings and role permissions.
  • Community records — department rosters, application codes, and support-ticket logs.
  • Roles & activity — scheduled and temporary roles, and voice activity minutes.

We do not collect or store the content of your private messages, passwords, payment card details, or any data beyond what is needed to operate the features above.

Website data. When you create an account or sign in, we store the information you provide (such as your email address and authentication details) and standard technical data (such as your IP address and browser type) needed to operate the site, keep it secure, and prevent abuse.

3. How we use information

We use the information we collect solely to:

  • Operate and maintain the bot's features for our community;
  • Apply server settings, role permissions, and department rosters;
  • Process applications, support tickets, and scheduled or temporary roles;
  • Track voice activity minutes for community features;
  • Operate, secure, and improve the website and your account; and
  • Enforce our rules and protect the community from abuse.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes. Your data is used solely to operate our services for our community. We may disclose information only when required by law, to comply with a valid legal request, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of SACRP, our members, or the public.

We rely on infrastructure providers (such as our database and hosting providers) to run our services. These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for any other purpose.

5. Data retention

We retain data for as long as it is needed to provide our features and for legitimate operational, security, or legal purposes. When data is no longer needed — for example, when a temporary role expires, a ticket is closed, or the bot is removed from a server — it may be deleted automatically or during routine cleanup.

6. Your choices and rights

You can:

  • Remove the bot from a server you administer, which stops further data collection for that server;
  • Request access to, correction of, or deletion of data we hold about you, subject to any records we must keep for legal or safety reasons; and
  • Close your website account at any time.

To make a request, contact us using the details in the “Contact us” section below.

7. Data security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's privacy

Our services follow Discord's minimum age requirements. Our website and bot are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your region), and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of our services after a change means you accept the updated policy.

10. Contact us

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or your data, reach out through our Discord community or by opening a support ticket.
